Company

IDVIA is a Spanish engineering consulting company with more than 9 years of experience in the field of Civil Engineering. IDVIA offers highly specialized consulting engineering services. The company was founded in 2009. Currently, IDVIA’s offices are located at Av. D’Aragó, 30, 46021 Valencia, Spain.

IDVIA S.L. was created as a technology company whose original commercial orientation was to offer specialized technical support to entities in the civil engineering sector. Since its creation, IDVIA has participated as a subcontractor in 33 national R&D projects and has participated in 27 minor contracts from various railway administrators and in 21 technical assistance to private companies.

Currently, IDVIA 2020 HORIZONTE 2020 offers technological solutions based on low-cost systems that allow the implementation of predictive maintenance philosophies adapted to each client, monitoring of civil structures and industrial systems services, data analysis, numerical modeling and commercial advice services. In addition, IDVIA S.L. provides engineering services to R&D in fields like numerical modeling and data analysis, monitoring systems and development of new materials.

During the last five years we have worked to develop PAROST, a solution capable not only of identifying, locating and quantifying damage of road bridges and road tunnels, but also of predicting accurately how such damage will evolve in the future. This characteristic makes PAROST a disruptive innovation compared to the structural health monitoring (SHM) systems that exist in the market that only provide information about the current situation.

PAROST is a low cost and easy to install system capable of not only identifying (locating and quantifying) visible and non-visible structural damage in civil engineering concrete structures but also predicts their evolution over time for making cost-effective maintenance, rehabilitation, and replacement decisions (MR&R), and to ensure that safety, serviceability and functionality of the structure can be sustained over its designed service life. The latter makes PAROST a real disruptive breakthrough in the structural health monitoring area considering all existing SHMs on the market.
